London's Uruguayan community are anxiously waiting for Arsenal to land Liverpool striker Luis Suarez. The Daily Express says the small community of some 400 Uruguayans in London would greet him at their next gathering, the celebrations of the country's Independence Day on August 25.
Although invited by Ambassador Julio Moreira Morán for the past two years, he has been unable to attend due to commitments in Liverpool.
However, a move to Arsenal would make it easier for him.
Renowned photojournalist Julio Etchart said: "We would love to see him at the Embassy. It's a very special occasion and he would be very welcome.
"Football is our country's first religion, so to have Suarez here would be wonderful."
