Rioting in North London will not postpone this Saturday's Premier League opener between Tottenham and Everton.
Spurs have confirmed that the August 13 clash against the Toffees will go ahead as planned even though there has been rioting and looting over the last three nights.
Police will monitor the events leading up to Saturday before notifying the clubs and Premier League of any changes that may be required but at this stage, the match will be played according to Tottenham's official website.
"Following the disturbances in Tottenham over the weekend, the club has been in ongoing discussions with the necessary authorities regarding this coming weekend's Premier League fixture against Everton," read the statement.
"We can advise fans that at this stage the game is going ahead and the club is doing everything it can to ensure that this remains the position.
"Fans are advised to please check the website for further updates and in particular travel details as we shall look to advise fans on best available travel options."
