Loic Remy has returned to Crystal Palace training.

The Croydon Advertiser says the striker, who is on a season-long loan with the Eagles from Chelsea, was pictured training on his own ahead of the game with Southampton this weekend, with the club posting on social networking website Twitter that it was "good to see Remy closing in on full fitness."

The former Newcastle United and Queens Park Rangers striker has not yet featured for the Eagles this season after suffering a thigh injury, while he recently suffered a setback after picking up a calf problem, which was expected to keep him out until around Christmas.

But Palace will now be hoping that he might be able to feature in games soon, with fellow striker Connor Wickham suffering a long-term injury at Swansea City last weekend.
