Loic Damour admits he turned down the prospect of leaving Cardiff City on-loan last summer.
The Frenchman revealed Cardiff boss Neil Warnock wanted him to leave on-loan this season.
He told Foot Mercato: "This year it's a bit more complicated for me. Choices have been made. The deal was never to leave as I have two years of contract left.
"This is the dream of many players to play in the Premier League. For me even more seen where I come from. I was asked but for me it was out of the question to go on loan in the Championship. I knew very well that it would be difficult, that there would be competition, etc... I did not leave number one.
"But in my head, I always said that I would not leave until I tried. I give everything until the month of December and if my situation does not change, I may have to think.
"At 28, you have to play. Six months like that, that's fine. You do not leave without trying. But against in December we will make a first assessment."
