Logistics could be an issue for West Ham Europa League qualifiers

West Ham United are facing a logistical problem for their Europa League qualifiers, according to Sky Sports.

The Hammers gained a spot in the opening round of qualifiers for Europe's second tier club competition after Manchester United won the FA Cup on Saturday.

They will now play a two-legged qualifier with the first leg to be played on July 28 and the second on August 4.

West Ham move into the Olympic Stadium this summer but the London Anniversary Games on July 22 could make life difficult if they happen to be drawn at home for the July 28 first leg, as it takes seven days to change the venue from athletics to football mode.

If they receive an away trip for the first leg, there will be no issues, but a home first leg may force them to ask for a switch of location.

West Ham will still officially open the 60,000-seat stadium with a friendly against Italian champions Juventus on August 7, regardless of the Europa outcome.
