Loftus-Cheek will be given minutes to continue Chelsea development - Hiddink

Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink believes that youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek has a great future at the club.

The 20-year-old signed a new five-year deal with the Blues on Monday, and Hiddink has revealed that the fans will see more of him in the latter stages of this season.

Hiddink said: "In the upcoming match days there will be options as well. In mind, of course.

"We had him in training and made special analysis of the way he has to progress on his age and he's working on that and it will pay off.

"When I arrived I thought he was 24 or 25. That indicates he has a great future. We work specifically on a plan on what he can improve.

"He's working on that, it will pay off in the upcoming games. I won't give any guarantees, but he will have his minutes."
