Chelsea youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek has said that everyone at the club is buzzing to have skipper John Terry around for at least one more season.
The veteran centre-back looked set to leave the club at the end of last season as he was not offered a new deal by the West London club.
However, the Blues changed their earlier stance in May and offered the 35-year-old centre-back a new one-year deal to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge.
"We were buzzing when we found out he signed again," young midfielder Loftus-Cheek told Goal.
"He has been here for so long, he is such a good leader.
"I think if we had lost John, we would have a lot less leadership in the dressing room. So we are buzzing to have him here still.
"He brings experience with what he has done and he is such a nice person as well. He brings everyone together, everyone has respect for him."
