On-loan striker Martyn Waghorn would like to extend his stay at Leicester. The 19-year-old is set to return to Sunderland when his current deal expires on January 11.
The player himself would be happy to continue his development at the Walkers Stadium, especially after forcing his way into the starting line-up in the last few weeks.
"I would like to stay. It's between the two clubs and it isn't my decision, although it kind of is, but if the clubs can agree then I will be more than happy to stay and keep learning," said Waghorn. "I want to keep progressing at Leicester. It has been great here.
"In the last three games I've been starting and playing 60 to 70 minutes-plus. I feel like I'm getting fitter and I feel more like a team member, getting to know how the lads get on. It has been excellent for me."
