Loanee keeper Forster to make the most of Celtic move

Celtic's on-loan keeper Fraser Forster is aiming to make a name for himself during his season with the SPL giants. The Newcastle stopper made his Parkhead debut over the weekend and kept a clean sheet in a 3-0 success over Hearts.

Artur Boruc had been the club's number one for a number of years and was a firm fans' favourite with the Hoops faithful.

"Artur was a fantastic keeper and Celtic are a massive club, so there was always going to be pressure to go in there and perform," said Forster.

"It was brilliant for a first game here and a fantastic performance to get the three points.

"It was nice to make the save from (Kevin) Kyle and, with the way we have been told to defend, the lads were around me for the second ball. It's fantastic to keep clean sheets whatever way you do it.

"There has been a massive change of players here and it will take a bit of time for people to get to know each other.

"But everyone did well in this one and, if we can keep it tight at the back, it is the basis for a successful season.

"We defend as a team but if the back five is strong it allows the rest of the lads to bomb on and create chances. We could have scored a lot more."
