LOAN WATCH: Warburton keeps Everton's Long at Brentford

Brentford have extended the loan spell of Everton youngster Chris Long.

The 19-year old striker initially joined the Bees on a one-month loan on January 20 which has now been prolonged for a further month.

Ex-MK Dons loanee Long has made five substitutes appearances for Mark Warburton's side, which included his debut goal in the weekend's 3-1 win over AFC Bournemouth, and the manager was thrilled to have him stick around at Griffin Park for the next little while.

"I am delighted with Chris' contribution at the start of his loan. He has shown energy and enthusiasm, allied to his obvious quality," said the Brentford boss.

"I feel confident all parties will continue to benefit from the loan being extended. I would also like to thank Everton for their continued cooperation."
