On-loan Tottenham midfielder Jake Livermore scored his first goal for Hull City as the Tigers defeated Liverpool for the first time in their history with a 3-1 victory at the KC Stadium on Sunday.
Livermore, who joined Hull on a season-long loan from Spurs in the summer, made his 12th appearance for the club on Sunday and capped it off with the opening goal of the game when his shot from outside of the box took a deflection off Martin Skrtel and past Reds keeper Simon Mignolet.
David Meyler's 72nd minute goal put Hull ahead after Steven Gerrard's first half equalizer from a free-kick. All three points were sealed with three minutes remaining when Skrtel scored an own goal with a deflection from a Tom Huddelstone strike.
The win was Hull's first over Liverpool in the club's 109-year history and moves the club into the top half of the table on 17 points, one in front of their closest challengers Aston Villa.
