LOAN WATCH: Stoke winger Assaidi still keen to make it at Liverpool

Oussama Assaidi is convinced he can still make it at Liverpool despite being sent on loan to Stoke City.

The 25-year old Moroccan winger, who scored a stunning winner against Chelsea on Saturday, hardly featured for the Reds last season after joining from Heerenveen in the summer of 2012 before Brendan Rodgers sent him to the Britannia Stadium for the 2013/14 season.

Notwithstanding this fact, Assaidi still holds hope that he can return to Anfield in the summer and force his way into Rodger's line-up.

"I hope I still have a future there," he said. "I have two years more and we will see, but I'm now at Stoke and I'll do my best.

"Brendan texts me sometimes and I speak sometimes with him, but we will see what the future brings.

"I think the games that I got at Liverpool were not so many, but I did well in those games. The coach makes the decisions. If he gives me a chance, then maybe I can show what I can do."
