Loic Remy feels he is getting to full fitness with Newcastle United.
The French striker, on a season-long from QPR, made his first start in Saturday's 2-1 win at Aston Villa and says he is not too far away from getting into top gear.
"I did not do the pre-season so it was important to get fit quickly to help the team," said Remy.
"I worked hard during the international break but I still need two or three games to be completely fit. I felt very good about my run, about everything, but I need more games.
"We are confident now. It was important to win, because if we can have a lot of games like this and win more and more games, it will be good for the future.
"We have a good game at home next week (Hull City), and if we keep going we have the quality in the team to do very well this season."
