Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies is intent on keeping promising defender Jack Hobbs at the club this winter.
The 25-year old joined Forest on a season-long from Hull City in the summer but has emerged as a possible transfer target for Wigan Athletic who are considering making an offer to buy permanently.
However, Davies insists that the former Liverpool and Leicester City man will be staying at the City Ground for the remainder of the campaign.
"Not a chance," he said after Forest beat West Ham United 5-0 in the FA Cup third round.
"There is a (recall) clause which is for an emergency. As far as we're concerned that hasn't changed. He's still our player.
"We're looking forward to having him here for the rest of the season if that's possible.
"The player doesn't want to leave this club and that's important."
