Newcastle United loanee Conor Newton found the net in St Mirren's Scottish Cup fourth round clash with Queen of the South, which finished 2-2 at the end of play at Palmerston Park.
20-year Newton put the Scottish Premier League side ahead within the opening ten minutes when Steven Thompson flicked on Kenny McLean's corner that eventually found the Englishman, who bent the ball home.
Thompson put the Saints ahead again following Iain Russell's equalizer but the match was leveled with under twenty minutes remaining when Michael Paton found the back of the net to send the tie into a replay which will take place at St Mirren Park on December 10.
