Newcastle United pair Curtis Good and Conor Newton came across each other for the first time on the weekend when Dundee United beat St Mirren in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup.
Australian defender Good joined the Tangerines on deadline day for the rest of the term while English midfielder Newton is on a season-long loan after impressing during a five-month spell in Paisley last campaign.
20-year old Good played a full 90 minutes in central defence in United's 2-1 victory, in just his second outing in Scotland, while 24-year old Newton was replaced by fellow Magpies loanee Adam Campbell in the 85th minute in what was his 28th appearance in all competitions this season.
