Wigan Athletic’s top scorer Nick Powell has earned a much-needed rest according to manager Uwe Rosler.
The 19-year old forward is on a season-long loan from Manchester United and has been impressive in scoring 10 goals in all competitions for the Latics, but according to Rosler, he may be rested for Saturday’s FA Cup clash with Cardiff City.
"Obviously up front we need our top scorer, Nick Powell, we miss him,” he told the Wigan Evening Post.
"For a 19-year-old he has been tremendous for us this season. When I came I saw that the kid has played a lot of football and obviously now everybody asks for a rest and that is why he gets a rest in terms of he has a niggle here and a niggle there."
