Andy Carroll has thanked the West Ham United supporters for being patient with him and insists he is ready to fire after gaining full fitness following injury.
The 24-year old striker, on a season-long loan from Liverpool, has scored just twice in an injury-plagued campaign at Upton Park but says he is prepared to repay the faith shown in him by everybody in East London.
"The fans have been very patient with me," the former Newcastle United man told the club's official website.
"They could have got on my back early doors, with me being injured, coming back and getting injured again and not scoring the goals everyone had hoped I would score.
"To have them singing my name was excellent. I definitely didn't expect to hear a load of Londoners singing my name when I was growing up in Newcastle! Everyone has been great with me here."
