Taiwo Awoniyi has scored his fourth goal in nine games, in Royal Mouscron's 3-1 loss to Standard Liège.

The 20-year-old, who is on loan from Liverpool this season, scrambled home the ball in the 49th minute to equalise; after Sebastien Locigno's goal for Standard Liège in the 33rd minute.

Awoniyi's goal was not enough to help his team to a win, as Orlando Sa scored in the 75th minute and then Edmilson Junior put the result beyond doubt with a penalty in the 94th minute.

The Nigerian now has three goals and two assists in his nine Jupiler League outings.

Royal Mouscron currently sit 6th on the table, and will hope to improve against Sint-Truiden, when they play them on Thursday 26th October.
