LOAN WATCH: Liverpool's Assaidi 'very happy' at Stoke

Oussama Assaidi admits he would be very happy to remain with Stoke City.

The 25-year old Moroccan winger has enjoyed a successful season-long loan from Liverpool even though he has been restricted to 19 Premier League appearances because of injury.

Assaidi scored in a Man of the Match performance in the 4-1 win over Fulham on Saturday and has since revealed that he would be prepared to remain at the Britannia Stadium if the Potters and Reds could come to an agreement.

"I don't know yet what my future is, but I say always that I'm very happy at Stoke. The manager (Mark Hughes) believes in me, that's what I need," he told The Sentinel.

"He started me against Fulham and I'm very happy I scored and got man of the match as well because if you don't play for seven weeks that's very nice.

"I didn't hear the fans singing 'sign him up' but that's nice that they believe in me and I'm very happy that the fans were singing that.

"I don't know what I can say about it because I'm still under contract at Liverpool and I have to go back, but I'm very happy, we'll see what happens.

"We will see what Liverpool say. If they say there's no chance to play there then Stoke is a good option."
