The Croatian midfielder dominated in the midfield all match, using an array of passes to control the center of the park for QPR. He was effective early on following a thumping strike that rattled Millwall keeper David Forde’s post.
Kranjcar also had a hand in the R’s second goal midway through the second period when the 29-year old outmuscled Paul Robinson in the final third, setting up striker Charlie Austin to put QPR ahead.
QPR assistant Kevin Bond spoke to Eurosport after the game and praised the performance of Kranjcar who is on loan from Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev.
“Niko Kranjcar is a magnificent footballer. He has got that top class quality, he can see things and he can execute things as you saw today, he was excellent,” said Bond.
