LOAN WATCH: Jackett confident West Brom's Wood wants Millwall stay

Millwall manager Kenny Jackett believes star New Zealand striker Chris Wood is keen to remain with the Championship club.

The West Bromwich Albion youngster has attracted plenty of interest from clubs after scoring 10 goals on loan for the Lions but Jackett feels he wants to continue on in Southeast London following his double in Tuesday night's 2-2 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion.

"I'm sure that Chris wants to stay. We are keen on him but we will have to see how it develops," he said.

"I know that he likes it at Millwall. He has been playing and has been first choice.

"He is with us at present and his second goal was an absolute screamer. It's tough for him and he tired towards the end but we need to support him the best we can."
