Ryan Williams has had his loan spell with Oxford United extended until the end of the season.
The 20-year old Fulham winger initially joined the U’s on a five-month deal in August, which was set to expire on January 1, but all parties involved have agreed to an extension which will see him remain at the Kassam Stadium for the League Two campaign.
Williams, who has scored three goals in 15 appearances for the second-placed side, told au.fourfourtwo.com that he was thrilled to be handed the extra contract.
“Myself and Fulham think it’s the right thing to do at the moment as I’m getting good exposure, getting good game-time,” Williams said.
“It’s the not best level but you have to start somewhere, I have to get the appearances to then go on to bigger and better things.”
Oxford boss Chris Wilder added in a club statement: “It’s good for everyone concerned. Ryan is a talented player and has done well for us.
"He is enjoying his time here and Fulham can see him gaining experience and playing well. The fans have taken to him and he fits in really well with the lads in the dressing room, so we are really happy that he is our player for the rest of the season.”
