LOAN WATCH: Elmander has great quality - Norwich's Hughton

Johan Elmander scored his first goals in Norwich City colours on Tuesday night prompting praise from manager Chris Hughton.

The 32-year old Swedish striker, who recently joined on loan from Galatasaray, netted in the 52nd and 74th minutes of the Canaries' 6-3 Capital One Cup win over Bury and his performance was not lost on Hughton.

"He has got quality," Hughton said.

"He is an experienced player and there are certain moments and touches in his game tonight that show that. He has great game awareness and he took his goals well as well."

Elmander made his Norwich debut when coming on for the final 25 minutes of Saturday's 1-0 Premier League loss at Hull City.
