Michael Hector has joined Eintracht Frankfurt on loan, making him the 21st Chelsea player to go out temporarily this season.

The Jamaican defender's season-long shift to Germany was confirmed on Sunday afternoon which makes it two campaigns in a row he has been farmed out by the Blues.

Hector, 24, was signed by Chelsea from Reading last summer before being sent back to the Royals for the 2015/16 season and will now continue his development in the Bundesliga under former Croatia international Niko Kovac.

Eintracht went after Chelsea's USA international Matt Miazga but the West London club turned down their approach and instead agreed to allow Hector to make his way to the Commerzbank-Arena.

Hector is now the 21st Chelsea player who is developing their game at another club.
