LOAN WATCH: Chelsua duo Piazon and Kakuta keep Vitesse on top in Holland

Chelsea loanees Lucas Piazon and Gael Kakuta kept Vitesse Arnhem on top of the Eredivisie as they ran out 3-0 winners over Go Ahead Eagles at the De Adelaarshorst.

The away side opened the scoring when Eagles defender Deniz Turuc, who was subsequently given his marching orders following the challenge, brought down Mike Havenaar in the box.

20-year old Brazilian Piazon stepped up to convert the spot kick and would do so again five minutes later when the Blues starlets shot struck the arm of defender Jop van der Linden.

Referee Danny Makkelie's decision to award the penalty sparked violent scenes around the stands, with the game having to be paused for ten minutes whilst the crowd calmed down. It had no effect on Piazon who smashed the ball home from the penalty spot giving Eagles goalkeeper Eloy Room no chance.

Piazon's teammate Gael Kakuta, who is currently enjoying his second spell with Vitesse, was introduced into the game after 45 minutes when he replaced Renato Ibarra.

The 22-year old Frenchman made his impact on the game with 25 minutes remaining when he turned his defender before slotting the ball past the hapless Room who incidentally is on loan from Vitesse.

The victory solidifies Arnhem's current status as leader of the Eredivisie, two points in front of their closest challengers Ajax.
