LOAN WATCH: Chelsea starlet Abraham at it again for Bristol City

Tammy Abraham was again the star of the show for Bristol City this past weekend.

The teenage striker scored and provided an assist on his way to Man of the Match honours as the Robins came from behind to defeat Aston Villa 3-1 at Ashton Gate on Saturday.

Following Jack Grealish's quality early opener for Villa, Chelsea young gun Abraham levelled at 1-1 just before the hour-mark when he was on hand to tap home Lee Tomlin's shot which had been parried int his path by Pierluigi Gollini.

Abraham then helped City take the lead just minutes later when he cleverly held possession in midfield, attracting a pair of Villa defenders, before sending Joe Bryan through on goal with the midfielder doing the rest.

Tomlin then wrapped up proceedings with a sublime free-kick which sent Lee Johnson's side to sixth position on the Championship table.

Abraham now has three goals in five Championship outings for a total of five goals in seven appearances for Bristol City and it was his recent stellar form which manager Johnson wanted the remainder of the Bristol side to realise when they came into the dressing room a goal down at half-time.

“Tammy was so isolated that we just couldn't get near anybody, and they're a decent side," he told Bristol City Player.

“Tammy has been struggling with an injury. He's done ever so well to play through it, but his left ankle is quite bad.

“He's been called up to England Under-20s, but he's not right. He did very well to even get out there today, which is another sign of his character.

“He just loves to play, and he's still got himself a goal and an assist."
