LOAN WATCH: Chelsea defender Dabo scores unbelievable own goal for Vitesse

Fankaty Dabo, a twenty-two-year-old on loan from Chelsea, has had a game to forget this weekend.

Dabo's side Vitesse were up 1-0 at halftime, after an own goal by Kasper Larsen in the 32nd minute, then in the 59th minute Dabo was put under pressure and clipped the ball back to the keeper. Yet, Dabo's pass was too powerful, and flew right over the top over keeper Jeroen Houwen's outstretched arms, before dipping under the crossbar for a spectacular own goal.

Fortunately, Vitesse were able to regain the lead in the 62nd minute through a Tim Matavž penalty, to cancel out Dabo's embarrassing mistake. Yet, this lead didn't last long with Groningen scoring less than three minutes later through Oussama Idrissi.

Groningen then went on to score another two goals through Mimoun Mahi in the 78th minute, and Tom van Weert in the 82nd minute, to beat Vitesse 4-2 at home.

Vitesse next play Lazio away, on Thursday 23rd November, in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League. While Groningen will next play Feyenoord at home, on Saturday 25th November.
