LOAN WATCH: Celtic's Irvine thrilled to add Kilmarnock goal to Socceroos debut

Celtic midfielder Jackson Irvine ended a big week from an individual viewpoint by scoring his first goal for loan club Kilmarnock on Saturday.

The 20-year old, who made his debut for Australia against Canada on Tuesday, netted in the 70th minute as Killie beat Ross County 2-0 at Rugby Park and he was delighted to contribute to a vital win which lifted the club further clear of bottom-placed Heart of Midlothian.

"That's the best game I've played for Killie and I was delighted to get the goal that sealed the win," he said.

"It's been an eventful week, getting my first full cap and then playing such a big part in our win against County."
