Carlisle United manager Graham Kavanagh is keen to keep Ben Amos on loan past the end of the year.

The 23-year old goalkeeper is set to return to Manchester United next week but Kavanagh told the News & Star that he has asked the Red Devils for an extension.

"We have already spoken about it and I'm just waiting for a reply from Man United," said Kavanagh.

Since joining the Cumbrians in November, Amos has made six appearances for the League One club.
