Bolton have cut short the loan spell of Cardiff City's Joe Mason.
The 23-year old striker, who is on his third stint with the Trotters, will head back to south Wales to undergo rehab on a hamstring injury.
Mason joined Bolton on a season-long loan in the summer but has had his temporary deal mutually terminated.
During his trio of loan spells with Bolton, former Republic of Ireland U21 international Mason has scored 10 goals in 30 appearances.
