Josh Benson, who is on trial with Burnley from Arsenal, provided an assist for the Clarets U23 side during their 2-1 defeat against Hull City on Sunday.

Benson is a graduate of Arsenal's Hale End Academy and has been informed by the club that he will not be offered a permanent deal.

The 18-year-old has managed two goals for the Gunners U18 side this season and provided six assists from 14 league appearances.

With plenty of other talented young midfielders within their system, the Gunners will release Benson, who will now aim to win a contract elsewhere.
