Tottenham defender Eric Dier could be on the move in January.

The London Evening Standard says Dier could be set for a surprise loan move away from Tottenham in January.

The defender is in his first season in English football after spending his youth in Portugal, playing for Sporting Lisbon, and is regarded as a player for the future at White Hart Lane.

After making a promising start to the campaign, scoring in his first two matches, Dier has found it difficult to retain a place in Mauricio Pochettino's first-choice starting XI.
