Lo Monaco insists Biagianti not leaving Catania

Catania sports chief Pietro Lo Monaco insists Marco Biagianti will not be leaving.

The midfielder has been linked with Sicilian rivals Palermo.

Lo Monaco said: "He is really proud to be with us. We had to consider Palermo's offer but we are glad he decided to stay and our fans must be too.

"We made an offer for José Sosa, but the player's wages demands are too high for us.

"For Milton Caraglio and Ariel Paglialunga, we are waiting to hear from Rosario Central. But their club is in a mess at the moment. We will see what happens.

"Our squad is too big as well so we need to sell. So far we haven't received any offers - not even from Reggina, who are apparently interested in some of our players."
