Lloris dismisses criticism of Tottenham's lack of signings

Hugo Lloris has dismissed suggestions Tottenham have fallen behind their rivals this summer.

Spurs have failed to buy a single player in the transfer window, while the majority of their rivals have spent over £100m.

Regardless, the Tottenham shot-stopper believes Mauricio Pochettino's squad is getting "stronger and stronger" each year.

"The Premier League is getting even more difficult every season, all the club have the power to attract great players.

"That's why it is an exciting time to play in the Premier League and face so many competitive teams.

"The key is to be consistent in your performance, and we will try, like the last two seasons, to compete again.

"Every season I feel the team [Tottenham] is becoming stronger and stronger."
