Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is confident winning over manager Andre Villas-Boas.

Villas-Boas has indicated that veteran Brad Friedel, 41, is first choice for the moment.

Responding to Villas-Boas' comments about his place, Lloris said: "It is too early to reply to this type of question. Today, I have a status - I have the France captain's armband. It is a mark of trust and respect."
