Freddie Ljungberg wants to make his Celtic debut in Saturday's Old Firm clash with Rangers.
The 33-year old former Arsenal midfielder is in Glasgow to train with the Hoops and if all goes well, he will sign a deal with the famous club in January.
Ljungberg arrived in Scotland following stints with MLS clubs Seattle Sounders and Chicago Fire and he says he is already keen on donning the green and white of the Celtic Football Club.
"I heard a rumour there's a big game but we'll see what happens. I have seen it on TV and have friends who have played in the game," Ljungberg said.
"It is an amazing thing and of course I would like to play in it.
"We will see how the training goes but of course I've tried to keep fit while I haven't been playing since my last game seven weeks ago.
"Celtic is a massive club and they have amazing fans. We will see what happens while I am here. I am as fit as I have ever been since I had an injury to my hip two years ago."
