Bixante Lizarazu has hit back at Manchester United fullback Patrice Evra.
Evra attacked the former World Cup winner in a controversial interview on Sunday.
Lizarazu was quick to hit back:
"I was completely shocked by the vulgarity and timing of Patrice Evra's comments.
"The vulgarity of his remarks are unbearable. Background: Patrice Evra talks about his first selection in August 2004. I had already stopped with the France team. Why Evra would recall an event that happened nine years ago? What are these childish things? Furthermore, Evra began in earnest with the France team in 2008, four years later. We need to stop with this nonsense.
"Now is time when you need cold blood. Evra did not consider the impact that his words would have on the team of France."
