Livorno president Aldo Spinelli has handed coach Serse Cosmi a public vote of confidence.

Despite Livorno staring at relegation after their defeat to Inter Milan, Spinelli says Cosmi can count on his support.

"We are going forward with Cosmi in the most absolute way," he told TMW. "Livorno did well yesterday. I didn't want to see a repeat of the performance against Atalanta.

"My players gave life to a good game and I don't think we could have done any more against Inter.

"I liked yesterday's team," he added.

"Let's be clear on a few things. Now we must work peacefully and I hope that the Press and the fans will let us do so."
