Livorno defender Nelson Rivas was spending the night in hospital after losing consciousness in their defeat to Palermo.
The Inter-owned player fell awkwardly on to the back of his head when going up for a header in the first half of his side's 2-1 defeat to Palermo.
"The tests have all been negative, so he has already recovered all his functions," read a statement from the Livorno chief medic Manlio Porcellini.
"However, as he sustained a head trauma, he will spend the night in hospital for observation, as per protocol.
"The player momentarily lost consciousness after hitting the back of his head on the turf. Once in hospital he had tests on his cranium and x-rays on his torso.
"He is fine now, albeit rather dazed."
