Livorno have completed the signing of Parma striker Cristiano Lucarelli.

"With the full satisfaction of all concerned, the misunderstandings that affected the deal for the player were overcome and clarified," read a statement on the official Livorno website.

Club president Aldo Spinelli was furious at agent Carlo Pallavicino's signing on fee, which was £40,000, and declared the matter over.

Lucarelli begged for another chance and Pallavicino offered to forego his fee.

"Cristiano is like a brother to me, I'll do anything to make his dream return to Livorno come true."
