Liverpool youngster Matty Regan admits he sees Jamie Carragher as a role-model.
Regan is a defender in the Carragher mould.
"I see myself as a proper defender. I clear the ball when it needs clearing," he told liverpoolfc.tv.
"I don't try anything fancy but I can play out from the back if I need to. I like to defend properly. Obviously playing for Liverpool you have to look at Jamie Carragher as a great example.
"He came from the Academy, has been there and done it and played at the top level for ages. He's world class. Carlos Puyol and John Terry are others like that. They know exactly what they're doing."
