Liverpool's Xabi insists no Juventus regrets: I'm quick enough
Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso insists he has no regrets over a failed move to Juventus in the summer.
"Juventus was interested in me last summer. They also came to Liverpool, but this was normal negotiations during the summer. Some clubs seeking players, others will listen to offers. In the final analysis, nothing has happened," shrugged Xabi.
"I do not place much importance on the negotiations."
Asked about Juve coach Claudio Ranieri's claims that he was too slow to play in Turin, Xabi laughed: "No problem, I respect his opinion. But I have great confidence in my quality, thanks to the way I'm playing for Liverpool and Spain.
"I do not think I'll ever be the fastest player in a team, but I have other qualities, most important for my role on the field."

i THINK HE SHOULD STAY AT lIVERPOOL, WE NEED HIM
You dont need to be fast to be good, look at zidane, riquelme, mendieta, ballack, etc. All good but not known for their quickness. Xabi is a UCL and Euro winner, if juventus doesnt want him, alot of other clubs would want him no worries. Y do u need him to be fast when sissoko is behind him, he just has to distribute to the wingers and strikers. lol.
