Liverpool's Voronin enjoying Hertha Berlin stay

Liverpool striker Andrei Voronin says he's happy with his loan move to Hertha Berlin.

"The team welcomed me pretty well and I like the city," said Voronin. "I had fun at Liverpool but I came to Berlin to play as much as possible.

"I promise I'll give my best in order to help the team succeed. Hertha are playing in the Bundesliga, the Uefa Cup and the German Cup so we can have a lot of fun this season.

"For me the aim is going as far as possible in every competition. The German Cup is a prestigious one and every team wants to reach the final.

"There have already been many surprises and second division sides featured in the final, and there's no favourites in cups."

Voronin also said he enjoyed the experience last season of playing for Liverpool in what he considers to be the best league around.

"The Premier League must currently be the best championship in the world," Voronin told liverpoolfc.tv. "Many teams are competitive there as they have high profile players."
