Liverpool ace Fernando Torres is determined not to suffer second season blues.

He told guillembalague.com: "I agree that the second season is always the more difficult. People know all about me now, although I know more about my opponents as well, and I know how to take advantage of their weaknesses. But there's no doubt that I will have to account for the fact that I am better known from now on.

"There always has to be room for improvement. Next season I hope to continue in the same vein at Anfield and to improve away from home. I've scored at other grounds in other competitions, but it's true that, in the Premier League, I've found it more difficult. I now have a target for next season."
