Liverpool's Torres admits running Terry row

Liverpool striker Fernando Torres admits he exchanged angry words with Chelsea captain John Terry during their clash earlier this season.

"The things that happen on the field should stay on the field," said the Spaniard. "In any case, at the end of the game we shook hands.

"Here, as you know, they won't whistle just because you fall over. There's no sense in trying to pretend to be fouled. What's more, your own teammates do not like to see you doing it."

Torres admits Terry is one of his favourite players, but added: "Playing for Liverpool was all I ever wanted. I wasn't interested in going elsewhere."
