Liverpool defender Sebastian Coates has revealed his desire to stay in the Premier League.
The Uruguayan centre-back is currently on a season-long loan at Sunderland but has managed just four league appearances this term.
The defender is set to return to Liverpool at the end of the season but a long-term future at Anfield looks very unlikely now, however, Coates is not ready to leave England.
"During my time in England, I've not had as many matches as I wanted," he said.
"When the year loan is over, I will talk about what to do next.
"But my goal is to stay in England because it is the best football in the world. It's a very competitive league."
Coates was signed by then-Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish for a fee believed to be in the region of £7million from Nacional in 2011.
