Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel was happy with his performance against Chelsea's Didier Drogba in Tuesday's 1-1 draw.

"It was not easy at all to defend him," noted Skrtel. "He is a similar type to Adebayor - well-built, pacey and with good technique.

"I would add though that Drogba covers the ball better than Adebayor. I think that, not only me, but the whole defensive line did not give him much space.

"He did not manage to get into almost any chance so I think we did our job well."
