Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant has backed manager Rafa Benitez's pursuit of Tottenham striker Robbie Keane.

Pennant is sure that £20million target Keane and Spain star Fernando Torres would be a nightmare pairing for top-flight defenders.

Spurs are angry at the Reds' public pursuit of Keane but Pennant said: "It will be a great partnership. They could be as good as anything in the Premiership."
