Liverpool's Lucas rates Gerrard ahead of Kaka
Lucas Leiva believes his Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is a more complete player than Brazil star Kaka.
Gerrard, who will captain England against Egypt at Wembley, has been well short of his best form this season.
But even taking that into account, Lucas insists Gerrard has the all-round game to make him one of the world's greatest.
"There are similarities with Kaka and Stevie but Stevie makes more of a contribution all over the pitch," said the 23-year-old, an international team-mate of Real Madrid forward Kaka.
"Stevie is more complete in that sense because he can attack but also defend just as well.
"This is probably because Stevie has experience playing in a number of positions earlier in his career."
Lucas added in LFC Weekly: "Even now, he is so good, he could probably play anywhere."

Kaka-Wonderful! Don't touch it! He's miles ahead of Gerrald, though I must concede that Gerrald is also supremely gifted and complements this with tough all-round mental abilities that is incomparable in the business! He's great, but Kaka is simply the force of nature, sheer poetry in motion, and pure delight to watch at full flight! Both have the world at their feet, with Kaka some paces ahead of marvellous Gerrald. Mesmerising Messi, however at the moment, is top of the world at the moment, eclipsing 'talkative' Ronaldo at evry turn. Our world shines better and brighter with these stars of superlative quality.

winning personal achievement doesnt mean he is better than gerrard, its becoz he was playing with milan with full of top class players its so much easier to win cups/title...
if both of them achieved the same at club level and performed to their best, im sure gerrard will top kaka in the player of the year award, becoz gerrard can score/pass/head/tackle and has leadership quality, wheres kaka only can score/pass and put in some good dribbles occasionally..whos more worthy winner i ask?
